Clarksville has done an excellent job in creating the Liberty Park and Marina. If you have not been down to that area yet it is well worth a trip. They have created so much to do in such a small area. They have lots of walking/running trails. The trail go all through the park and around the outside of the marina. They even recently put bike rentals in a couple of the areas. The bikes look like they are in great condition but I have yet to ride them, I have been trying to talk my wife into renting them a few times with no luck... If you have a boat and are looking for a place to launch it, Liberty park has a huge boat launch area and plenty of dock space around the whole area and tons of parking. If you don't have a boat but still want to go boating. The marina has boat rentals and you can rent pontoon! For more information on boat rentals click here. If you are into fishing, which I am, aside from the Cumberland River Liberty park also offers a 10 acre pond that is
My personal best!
stocked with pan fish, catfish, and bass. I have seen some pretty big fish being pulled out of that little pond. The playground is also pretty awesome! There are two different areas; one area for toddlers and another play area for bigger kids. There is even shaded bench seating located in and around the playground. You don't have to leave your pets at home either! There is dog park available for large and small dogs! There are a couple rules for your pets and you need to get your pet registered with parks and rec. For more info on dog rules click here. If all of this isn't awesome enough, there are two building available for rent; The Wilma Rudolph Event Center and Freedom Point. The Wilma Rudolph Event Center is used quite often for various event. If you haven't heard about it there are a couple upcoming events that you should definitely look into: Tiddlywinks is July 16 and that is a Family and Baby Fair, click here for more info and Tuckessee Outdoor Expo is July 30th and 31st and is an fishing, hunting, camping and pretty much anything outdoors event. I know it seems like there can't be more but... if you get hungry there are two great restaurants near by. The Liberty Park grill is right near the entrance of Liberty Park, actually you pass right by it if you are coming from Riverside Drive, and they have great food, ALL YOU CAN EAT RIBS on Tuesdays! If you want to see what the menu click here. Just across the Cumberland River from Liberty Park is a FANTASTIC place called The Catfish House! They have some of the best catfish that I have personally ever eaten and their hush puppies are equally as great! Well worth the drive if you are in the area! If you are thinking I really wish I lived closer to this area, I have that covered too! We have a listing that is right down the road from Liberty Park and Marina.
