My husband and I were first time home buyers and had absolutely no clue about purchasing a home, the only thing we did know was that were tired of paying rent. Initially we called a few realtors, and all of them were quick to have us commit by contract before we barely walked in the door. I did a little research and compared realtors in the area, and we made the decision to go with the Kristen Gwaltney Team based upon the consumer information we gathered. I made a phone call and we were paired with Mr. Roy Paul. Mr. Roy was such a blessing, and essentially “held our hands” throughout the purchasing process. Mr. Roy and his team are a full service instillation and paired us with Mrs. Jennifer Candler at First Federal Lending, which is adjacent to his office. There was no fuss or stress throughout the entire course of action. Our two year old son is special needs so there were certain aesthetic components of a home that were vital for our family in the event we needed to equip our home with handicap accessibility if our son required. I called Mr. Roy on a Monday and by Wednesday he had five properties to show us that met our criteria, were located in the area in which we wanted to live, and met our budget. He mentored us throughout the entire process and did an amazing job explaining every step along the way. He was always at the other end of the phone if a question or concern arose and I am the type of person that has a lot of questions! The home we ultimately choose was perfect excluding the fact that we ran into a few issues with the prior owner. Mr. Roy took care of everything from replacing the carpet to providing us with the appropriate contractors to take care of the “issues” we had with the home. My husband and I were so impressed with the was that Mr. Roy took care of our family I wrote a letter to the editor of the Leaf Chronicle: “Our family purchased our first home April 22, 2011 in Tylertown. The last rainstorm we noticed a couple of wet spots in our ceiling. Several service technicians later, we were told our roof had a leak and our attic had black mold. Confused and scared we contacted our realtor Roy Paul for advice. Mr. Paul, contacted our home inspector John Goad. After explaining the mold issue to Mr. Goad, I expressed my fear that the mold could interfere with our special needs son’s neurological condition. Mr. Goad apologized for missing the menial Sawzall blade sized hole he had overlooked during our inspection. A few phone calls later Mr. Goad not only held himself accountable, but went as far as contacting contractors/specialists to fix the issue, preventing us from utilizing our homeowners policy. Within a week Mr. Goad personally paid for damages caused by the roof leak, but also paid John Conn-a contractor, to repair the hole in our kitchen ceiling that my husband put his foot through while locating the leak. Timm Johnson a mold specialist with TIMMCO was also hired. By the end of the week the hole was fixed, the mold was gone, and the roof leak mended. I wanted Clarksville to know that there are reliable, honest, and trustworthily professionals locally. My husband and I are so blessed that these men collaborated and took care of our family. I can assure that utilizing the services provided by any of the men mentioned, your family will be taken care of. Society tends to draw attention and focus on people’s mistakes. I wanted to take advantage of an opportunity to publicize the compassion and timeliness all four of these men provided, they made us a priority and eliminated our stressful situation.” If you are going to purchase a home or real estate of any fashion in the Clarksville area, you’re going to be in great hands with Mr. Roy. He is honest, experienced, and truly provides a full service experience in every facet. He was instrumental in our peace of mind while purchasing our home, we feel so blessed for our introduction and experience with Mr. Roy, the Kristen Gwaltney Team, and their associates.
